Travel Update All BOP Destinations
2020 was a very difficult year for travel with lockdowns and canceled flights. Now that vaccinations are becoming widely available, travel is slowly starting to open up! As more becomes known about COVID, destinations have implemented procedures to allow visitors to enjoy tourism safely! Here are the latest travel updates for each of BOP’s top destinations (Last Update March 3):
Dominican Republic
COVID tests are not required for your vacation to the Dominican Republic, although you may be asked to participate in a breath test spot check. All travelers are required to complete an electronic entry form. There are curfews in effect in the Dominican Republic, however these have been relaxed. Mask are required in all public places. More information on the e ticket and local restrictions can be found here.
Jamaica
Effective March 4, 2021, all travelers to Jamaica, 12 years of age and over, regardless of nationality, will be required to present a negative COVID-19 PCR or Antigen test result to check in for a flight to Jamaica.
For travel on or before March 10, 2021, travelers may present a test result for which the sample collection date is within 10 days of the travel date.
For travel after March 10, 2021, the date of the sample collection must be within 3 days of the travel date.
Tests must be done by a medical laboratory that has a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) registration, an ISO 15189 certification.
Mexico
The land border between Mexico and the United States is closed, but air travel is allowed! COVID testing is not required before travel to Mexico. The majority of resorts will require completion of a health questionnaire. Hotels are well prepared for visitors with extra sanitation and social distancing protocols. The beautiful beaches of Mexico are waiting!

All passengers arriving to Dubai from any point of origin must hold a negative PCR test certificate, for which the test must be taken no more than 72 hours prior to the time of departure. Negative COVID-19 certificates must be printed in English or Arabic. No hand written, SMS or digital certificates will be accepted.
You may be required to take another test at Dubai Airports upon arrival if travelling from select destinations or if you show symptoms of COVID-19 on arrival. You must check the country requirements from which you are departing.
Children under the age of 12, and passengers with a severe or moderate disability are exempt from the PCR test.
