Is Mexico safe for tourists?

As with anywhere in the world, Mexico does have dangerous areas which are not suitable for tourists. However, providing you stay in tourist areas, and do not wander alone at night, you will enjoy a perfectly safe vacation, like millions of others! Take reasonable precautions as you would normally in unfamiliar surroundings, do not walk around with flashy jewelry or leave your belongings unattended. It is best to stick to tourist areas and with friends or family during the evening. Feel free to ask locals which are no go areas and they will also be happy to advise.

What type of clothes should I bring on my Dubai vacation?

Dubai is a strictly Muslim nation, although the majority of the population are expats. Smart casual dress is recommended for exploring, avoid crop tops, short skirts, vests and short shorts. Swimwear is accepted on the beach. When entering mosques wear long pants or skirt and cover your shoulders and head. Headscarves are usually available to rent.

Can I drink alcohol on my visit to Dubai?

Although you won’t find alcohol for sale in supermarkets, you will find alcohol available in most hotels and resorts. It is forbidden to drink alcohol in public. Be respectful at all times and if you do drink, do so in moderation.

Are there any religious restrictions that may affect my vacation?

When visiting Dubai during Ramadan, you will find it difficult to find food during the day as many restaurants will be closed to respect daytime fasting. It is forbidden to eat, drink or smoke in public during daylight hours during Ramadan.

Can I smoke Marijuana legally in Jamaica?

You may be offered it by locals, however, Marijuana is illegal in Jamaica, despite popular belief. Although the laws are becoming slowly more relaxed, in 2015 possession of up to 2 ounces is a petty offence not a criminal one, it is not recommended to smoke marijuana in Jamaica.
